  • PROJECT ENGINEER – Civil Works Contracting is currently seeking an experienced, technically proficient, Federal Market Construction Project Estimator. Candidates must have knowledge about every stage of the construction process from scope development to project closeout. Typical projects are both design build and bid build projects typically ranging from $250K – $10M. Responsibilities: • Develop firm fixed price construction cost estimates (primary job duty), understand complete project scope without complete documents, able to properly develop scope responsibility for multiple trades, meet with customers, design team members, and subcontractors. • Demonstrate good organizational skills, interface with other departments, coordinate and assist in establishing the project scope and standards of the project, gather, and compile data for use in bid proposal estimates, maintain an estimating database, attend meetings, and build a relationship with other departments. • Qualified candidate must be familiar with construction estimating techniques and applicable software tools, such as Excel and HCSS HeavyBid, for general construction. • Candidate shall be skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications as well as reviewing drawings and specifications. • Candidate must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Project.
