Spring 2008 Seminar This is the Old Dominion University (ODU) Civil and Environmental Engineering Visiting Council (CEEVC) announcement of its Spring 2008 Seminar. The objective of the seminar is to disseminate information to the architectural, engineering, and contracting community on potential projects and budgets that municipal agencies in the Hampton Roads area are developing for upcoming years. Agency representatives will present their budgets, procurement trends, project lists, and priorities for the next fiscal year. Representative agencies include; City of Chesapeake, City of Norfolk, City of Portsmouth, City of Suffolk, City of Virginia Beach, James City Service Authority, Newport News Waterworks, Suffolk Public Schools, and Virginia Beach Pubic Schools. The seminar will be held at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, 7100 Hampton Boulevard, Norfolk from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. There will be special sessions on: “HRSD Regional Consent Work Order and Impact on Municipalities and Consulting Community” and “HRPDC Update on Transportation Funding: HRTA, Funding Outlook and Municipality Revenue”.
