Membership Application

Qualifications

Any person, firm, corporation, or association engaged in any branch of the construction industry employing labor in actual construction work; or any person, firm, corporation, or association manufacturing or dealing in construction material; or any person, firm, corporation, or association engaged in any profession, trade, or occupation related to the construction industry may be eligible for membership, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Membership shall be limited to those approved by the Board of Directors and those who, through known technical and financial ability, are able to carry out their contracts or other obligations in a professional manner satisfactory to owners, other contractors, and suppliers associated with them in their work. Each member shall at all times strive to place the Exchange and the construction industry on the highest plane possible by fair and just dealings.

Membership is not transferable.

Classes of Membership

Active Membership is for persons, firms, corporations, or associations engaged directly in any branch of the construction industry represented in and licensed to conduct business in Virginia. Current dues are $475.00 per 12-month period; we do not charge an initiation or entry fee. If you desire to receive weekly via the U.S. Postal Service a copy of the printed "Bulletin" dues are $525.00 per 12-month period

Associate Membership is for licensed architects, engineers, attorneys, and other professionals operating solely in their professional capacity. Current dues are $250.00 per 12-month period; we do not charge an initiation or entry fee.

Honorary Membership may be bestowed upon members of long standing who are active or who have retired; to licensed architects, engineers, or public officials; or to others who have made some selfless or outstanding contribution to the Exchange or the construction industry.

To apply for membership . . .

Fill out and forward the completed application using the e-mail link at the bottom of the form.
Upon receipt of the form, we will send you an invoice.
Upon receipt of your check or money order for the appropriate amount, we will place your application before the next Board of Directors meeting. The Board meets on the third Monday of each month.
Until the Board meets and acts on your application, you may use the plan room and pick up your Bulletin until the Board meeting.
